NIGERIA – The organisers of Nigeria’s leading hospitality event Hotel Expo Nigeria – HEN have announced the postponement of the 2024 edition of the event slated for August 1-2, 2024.
The postponement is due to circumstances beyond the control of the organisers and due to the unavailability of many stakeholders associated with the event to be present as a result of the planned nationwide protests which coincide with the Hotel Expo.
In a statement released by Mr. Joe Hanson on behalf of the organisers, he said “As a responsible entity and guided by the tenets of safety and comfort which are part of the hospitality ecosystem, we deem it fit to postpone the event due to this force majeure.
“We are as concerned about our vendors, partners, sponsors, and attendees as we are about the success of the event and would not want to take chances. Whilst this is a tough and hard decision, we reckon it is in the interest of all concerned”.
He added that a new date that factors in the stakeholders will be communicated soon.
The statement urges everyone to stay safe and be security conscious on the days of the planned protests.
