TANZANIA – Hotelogix, a globally leading cloud-based hospitality technology provider, has implemented e-Invoicing for Tanzania hotels through a Virtual Fiscal Device (VFD) vendor.

This means that hospitality entities in Tanzania using the Hotelogix Hotel Property Management System (Hotel PMS) can issue digital tax documents to comply with Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) guidelines.

The TRA has introduced the VFD to modernize the Electronic Fiscal Device Management System (EFDMS) for efficient financial data management. The VFD eliminates the need for physical EFDs and directly connects with the TRA portal.

This arrangement helps Hotelogix clients share electronically generated invoices directly with the TRA. The TRA portal then authenticates those invoices and returns them to the Hotel PMS.

Speaking about this development, Sivaprasad Gangadharan, Chief Sales Officer at Hotelogix, said such statutory regulations are significant steps towards digitization and promote compliance in the ecosystem.

It strengthens our position in the market and reinforces our commitment to providing reliable solutions to hotels in Tanzania.
