BAHRAIN — Hilton Bahrain has launched a new electric vehicle (EV) charging station, which will be convenient and eco-friendly for hotel guests and visitors to the property’s restaurants and cafes.

To inaugurate the new EV charging station, Hilton Bahrain has partnered with Hilton’s global partner, Mclaren.

The first vehicle charged at the new station was the McLaren Artura, Bahrain’s most recent McLaren model.

This partnership with Hilton Bahrain is an exciting opportunity to showcase our commitment to sustainability and the future of mobility,” said Steven Rothwell, McLaren Bahrain’s Sales Manager.

The new EV charging station, located in the hotel’s parking area, is free for anyone staying at or visiting the Hilton Bahrain.

This supports Hilton’s global Travel with Purpose strategy, the company’s comprehensive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program focused on driving responsible hospitality worldwide.

Sustainability is a core pillar of our operations at Hilton Bahrain, and we are continuously exploring new ways to integrate environmentally-conscious practices throughout our hotel,” said Tamer Farouk, General Manager of Hilton Bahrain.

The high-powered charging station installed at Hilton Bahrain can fully replenish the battery of most electric vehicle models in 4-6 hours.

In May this year, Hilton debuted the Conrad brand in Bahrain. The 98-room property marks the debut of the luxury Conrad brand on the island and joins the existing Hilton Bahrain and Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay.

Features include one, two, and three-bedroom residential suites, four-bedroom penthouses with private outdoor swimming pools, a rooftop infinity pool, a fitness center, and separate male and female saunas and steam rooms.

The hotel also houses Bahrain’s first SUSHISAMBA restaurant, which offers Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian fusion cuisine from its rooftop.

Other F&B options include Café Tomo in the lobby area and the mezzanine level library-style bar Trade Room.

The hotel features a collection of contemporary Bahraini art. The property’s three meeting rooms have been named after Bahrain’s history and landmarks, including the Bab Al Bahrain Room (named after the building that was the first gateway to Bahrain), the Harbour Room (a nod to Bahrain’s maritime heritage), and the 1920 room (named after the year Bahrain’s first bank opened).

Conrad Bahrain Financial Harbour is the third property under the brand in the Gulf region, joining the established Conrad Dubai and Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers – which opened in 2020 as a rebranding of the Jumeirah Etihad Towers.
