INDIA – Ishtaa, a vegetarian restaurant chain in Hyderabad, India, has opened its first restaurant in another Indian city, Bengaluru.

The brand, which has enjoyed success with its four outlets in Hyderabad, is now set to make its mark in Bengaluru’s Jayanagar neighbourhood with a spacious 10,000ft²  location.

Teja Chekuri, the experienced entrepreneur behind Ishtaa, is committed to redefining vegetarian food for his patrons.

The new Bengaluru outlet is situated on Temple Road, which is described as a fitting location for a restaurant that draws heavily on traditional influences.

Chekuri’s portfolio includes a range of successful culinary ventures, with Ishtaa as a flagship in his Indian food industry operations.

The Jayanagar outlet, based in a bungalow, offers an intimate and rustic ambiance and a variety of traditional dishes.

At Ishtaa, we aim to revive, redefine and bring back the delicate and nuanced flavours of our traditional recipes that have been passed on through generations,” Chekuri said.

“We are dedicated to creating an immersive dining experience for our patrons, grounded in the timeless principles of Indian hospitality that are integral to our culture and traditions.”

The Bengaluru location is designed to reflect the brand’s ethos, with spacious interiors and minimalist traditional decor to enhance the dining concept.

Chekuri’s restaurant group includes other notable names such as United Telugu Kitchens (UTK), Godavari, Ironhill India, Prost and the Madras Dosa Co.
