USA – The Titan Hospitality Group has expanded its presence by opening a new Smashing Grapes restaurant in the Merriweather District of Columbia, Maryland.
The 7000ft² venue is situated opposite the Merriweather Post Pavilion and has a refreshed modern design.
It offers both indoor and outdoor dining options, including event spaces.
The new establishment features a kitchen and wine bar with three private event rooms, each seating up to 12 guests.
Two can be merged to accommodate larger gatherings, and one includes outdoor access. Smashing Grapes offers Mediterranean and global cuisines with dishes such as pasta and artisan pizzas.
Its wine bar offers red and white wines from regions including Spain, Argentina, Germany, and California.
The new location also introduces exclusive menu items such as wine flights – three-ounce samples of different wines – and a selection of two charcuterie boards.
Smashing Grapes is the first kitchen and wine bar of its kind in the district.
“After the Blackwall Barn & Lodge opened in the District last October, we saw how it quickly became a local favourite brunch and dinner spot,” Titan Hospitality Group founder and CEO James King said.
“We wanted to curate Smashing Grapes’ new design to fit the lively area and expand the dining scene with an upscale kitchen and wine bar.”
Titan Hospitality, headquartered in Anne Arundel County, manages a portfolio of five restaurants and plans further expansions in 2024.
The group operates across DC, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
