USA – US food service equipment and solutions provider Cornerstone Foodservice Group (CFG) has expanded its portfolio by acquiring Equipex for an undisclosed amount.

Equipex manufactures cooking, holding, induction, ventless hood and display equipment.

The move is set to bolster CFG’s product offerings and service capabilities to its commercial clientele.

Equipex’s diverse product range includes Rollergrill International panini grills, convection and pizza ovens, warming displays, waffle bakers and salamanders.

The company joins CFG’s existing collection of brands, such as Spring USA, Versa-Gard, LloydPans and Astra.

Combining the power and momentum of what our organisations have achieved over the last 25 plus years will strengthen our value proposition and kitchen equipment offering for the foodservice market both today and in the future,” Cornerstone Foodservice Group CEO Kristine Holtz said.

This investment is a testament to our dedication to providing a comprehensive solution for chefs, operators and food service professionals worldwide.”

The deal also brings in Equipex’s Adventys line of cooking and warming induction equipment, renowned for its patented countertop small appliances and ventless hood system.

The integration of Equipex into CFG’s brand family will deliver a comprehensive suite of solutions for restaurants, hotels and other food service entities needing back-of-house, cooking and display equipment.

The acquisition includes SA Vents, Equipex’s patented Small Appliance Ventless Hood System.

Equipex founder Gary Licht, who will continue with the company in a leadership role, said: “We are excited to join the CFG family of companies.

“They have built an impressive business committed to providing quality service and products to the food service market. Our acquisition by Cornerstone Foodservice Group allows us to incorporate our vast portfolio of products into their already expansive offering,” Gary said.

Despite the change in ownership, Equipex will maintain its operations at its current facility in Providence, Rhode Island.
