UK- Indian food restaurant chain Kricket has revealed plans to open a new 24-hour dining venue in Shoreditch, UK, as part of its expansion strategy.

The new all-day dining venue will be open in late 2024. The location will have a seating capacity of 120 people.

The Shoreditch location will feature signature dishes like curry leaf mayo, chai financier with macerated cherries, Keralan fried chicken with pickled mooli, and the Mangalorean smoked pork belly with burnt apple chutney.

The location will also feature a dining room, which will accommodate up to 18 guests. This is a different feature compared to previous locations.

Kricket expressed enthusiasm over the new location. According to Will Bowlby Campbell, one of the company’s founders, the Shoreditch location will provide a unique opportunity for evolution of the brand.

The expansion strategy is pegged on the need to offer customers a unique dining experience, creating a brand beyond a mere place to eat.

The new location is a reflection of the growth and success of the chain in the UK market. It will be the chain’s fifth outlet in the UK.

The all-day dining venue was announced barely a week after Kricket announced intentions of opening Canary Wharf location in London in September 2024.

The new locations are facilitated by a third funding round in December 2023 from White Rabbit Projects (WRP), with additional funding from its UK operators.

The new Canary Wharf restaurant will have a total of 85 covers and will be open for lunch and dinner any day of the week. The new restaurant will be located next to Soma, the company’s second cocktail bar.

Will Bowlby Campbell, Kricket’s Co-Founder, said, “Kricket Shoreditch represents another step in the evolution of our brand. From menus to design, each location must offer something unique beyond just being a place to eat.”

“In many respects, it’s surreal how far we are from our humble beginnings in a shipping container in Pop Brixton. For us, it’s important to keep moving and stay current. We are keen to expand organically both at home and abroad.”
