USA- The world’s largest fast-food chain specializing in chicken sandwiches, Chick-fil-A, has revealed plans to reintroduce its Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich with a new spicy variant from August 26.
The relaunched sandwich and its new spicy variant will be available to select outlets for a limited time.
In 2023, the company introduced the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, its first twist on the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich.
The returning sandwich features a Chick-fil-A fillet dipped in honey, topped with pimento cheese and served on a bun with mildly pickled jalapeños. The Spicy Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich variant will feature a spicy fillet.
The company will also relaunch its infamous Banana Pudding Milkshake after a 13-year hiatus.
The milkshake, first debuting in 2011 is made with the chicken sandwich chain’s icedream dessert mixed with vanilla wafer cookie crumbles and bananas. It is topped with whipped cream and a cherry. The milkshake will also be available for a limited time.
The fast food company also revealed plans of introducing the Banana Frosted Coffee – a blend of cold-brewed coffee, Icedream dessert, banana and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles.
The relaunch of the two product offerings and the introduction of the banana Frosted Coffee is part of the company’s strategy of rejuvenating its brand, using nostalgia in its seasonal offering to reignite excitement and awareness of Chick-fil-A’s’ offerings.
Stuart Tracy, a Chef from Chick-fil-A, said, “When we released the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich last fall, not only did we receive overwhelmingly positive feedback, but we also saw our guests making their own unique twists by swapping the Original fillet for the Spicy fillet.”
“They inspired us to officially offer a spicy version as its own menu item, and we are thrilled to deliver what we know our guests want more of!”
The company also revealed that seasonal offerings were selected after an intentional and deliberate market analysis, taking into consideration the needs of its customers.
Selection for the seasonal offering started in May, after Chick-fil-A revealed its first seasonal entrée of 2024- the Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich, and also brought back its Peach Milkshake.
