BOTSWANA—The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) has officially launched the “Reason to Visit Namibia” Roadshow 2024 in Gaborone, Botswana.
This event, which has captured significant interest from tourism stakeholders across the nation, will take place in three major cities—Gaborone, Maun, and Kasane.
Spearheaded by the NTB, the roadshow will showcase Namibia’s diverse attractions, reinforcing its status as a premier travel destination in Southern Africa.
The “Reason to Visit Namibia” Roadshow is a strategic initiative highlighting Namibia as one of Africa’s most diverse and breathtaking destinations.
The roadshow focuses on showcasing the best of Namibia’s offerings and aims to solidify Namibia’s reputation as a premier travel destination in Southern Africa.
From its sprawling deserts and dramatic landscapes to its rich cultural heritage and vibrant wildlife, Namibia promises an unforgettable experience for every type of traveller.
The roadshow kicked off at the Cresta Gaborone, where industry professionals, travel agents, and enthusiasts gathered to learn about Namibia’s tourism offerings.
The representatives from top Namibian tourism providers shared insights into the country’s unique attractions and travel experiences.
These presentations were designed to inspire and educate attendees about adventure tourism, eco-tourism, cultural experiences, and family-friendly activities awaiting travellers in Namibia.
In the coming days, the roadshow will continue its journey through Botswana. Each location will feature destination presentations, networking opportunities, and special promotions, providing a platform for Botswana’s tourism businesses to connect with Namibian trade partners.
The roadshow’s success is driven by the collaboration between the Namibia Tourism Board and key players in Namibia’s tourism industry.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from leading Namibian tourism providers, including Namibia Wildlife Resort, Sandwich Dune Tours and Car Rentals, Peoples Tours & Safaris, Victoria Adventure Tours, and Walvis Bay Tours.
These interactions foster partnerships and encourage travel between the two neighbouring countries.
In addition to informative presentations, the roadshow features a variety of exciting opportunities for attendees. Special prizes, promotions, and travel packages are available, making it easier than ever for travelers to plan their next Namibian adventure.
Whether it’s exploring the vast landscapes of the Namib Desert, experiencing the thrill of a wildlife safari, or engaging with the rich cultural traditions of Namibia’s diverse communities, the roadshow offers a glimpse into the endless possibilities that await in this majestic country.
Meanwhile in Kenya, the Ugandan government launched a campaign aiming to attract at least 500 Kenyan tourism stakeholders and investors to this year’s conference.
The campaign was officially unveiled by Uganda’s Consul General at the Kenyan Coast, Ambassador Paul Mukumbya, alongside key tourism stakeholders from both nations in Mombasa.
Speaking at the launch, Ambassador Mukumbya emphasized Uganda’s commitment to strengthening tourism ties with Kenya.
“This year’s venue reflects how seriously we in Uganda take the Kenyan market,” said Mukumbya.
He urged all tourism stakeholders to register for the event.
He noted that the registration portal had already garnered over 300 registrations, with expectations of reaching the 500-participant limit soon.
The conference aims to build on the successes of previous editions, which have played a crucial role in enhancing cross-border tourism and trade between the two countries.
