UAE- A popular street food hall in Al Ghurair Center, Flayva, has expanded its international food offering with the launch of Kimo, a Korean concept brand.

The Korean concept brand will offer authentic Korean cuisine popularized by the country’s novels and dramas. The brand is intended to offer a taste of Korean tradition.

The highlight of Kimo will be the Tteobokki variations, including the classic spicy-sweet version, Rose Tteobokki, Carbonara Tteobokki, Mala Tteobokki, and Cheese Tteobokki.

The concept will also feature Rabokki, a dish combining chewy rice cakes with noodles in a special sauce. It is available in fish, chicken, or beef options. Tteok Kkochi, crispy rice cakes in Cheese and So-Tteok flavours, will also be available.

Kimo has welcomed the move, revealing intentions of further broadening its menu offering in the future to bring an even broader variety of Korean cuisine to Dubai.

The move is seen as a sign of the street food hall’s expansion. Flayva brings international dishes, cuisines and hints of culture to Dubai. The hall has been largely successful since its opening, especially among tourists, mostly due to its strategic location in Old Dubai.

The GCC region is an important tourist and shopping destination for people visiting the UAE.

It boasts a diverse customer base in the increasingly metropolitan city who are eager to experience the cuisine and culture of different parts of the world.

Flayva is open every day and features 19 different cuisine and tradition concepts, offering a culinary journey that spans the entire world—from Indonesian to Japanese, Filipino to Turkish, Indian to Omani, and now Korean. The food hall caters to a very broad taste.

The street food hall has more than 50 dining and entertainment venues with over 270 retail stores.

Although QSR chains have faced significant cost pressures in the past year due to rising inflation, which has increased prices and stifled demand, Dubai remains one of the few attractive investment destinations for restaurants

This is because of the city’s rapidly expanding metropolitan population and vibrant economy.
