OMAN- Chinese restaurant chain Hakkasan has announced plans to open its first restaurant in Oman in October, the restaurant’s 12th location globally.
The new restaurant will be located at the St Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort in the country’s capital.
It will offer a unique menu that gives customers authentic Cantonese cuisine using classic and traditional culinary techniques.
The new restaurant will also feature Hakkasan’s classic dishes like the Crispy Duck Salad and the Grilled Chilean Seabass.
According to Hakkasan, the new restaurant strives to introduce modern Cantonese cuisine to Oman’s restaurant scene.
Noah Tepperberg, Tao Group Hospitality’s CEO, said, “We are delighted to bring to life Hakkasan’s philosophy of ancient gastronomy re-imagined for the modern day at the St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort.”
“We promise to deliver an intriguing blend of contemporary Cantonese cuisine and an atmosphere shrouded in mystery that will truly captivate guests.”
According to Tepperberg, the new restaurant will offer value to customers through giving them a glimpse of Cantonese heritage, beyond just cuisine. The CEO revealed the new restaurant will offer a different luxury experience from other contemporary hotels in the country.
The interior design, designed by renown interior designer Christian Liaigre, blends traditional Cantonese motifs with a contemporary style that provides this traditional, luxury experience.
It will maintain the aesthetic present in other Hakkasan outlets, which provides an intimate dining experience for customers.
St Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort welcomed the move, expressing confidence the new restaurant will expand its culinary offering and induce growth.
Tarek Mourad St Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort’s General Manager (GM), said, “It is with great excitement that we welcome Hakkasan and its exceptionally talented team to our resort.”
“This partnership further enriches and expands our range of exquisite culinary offerings, reinforcing the St Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort as a must-visit dining destination for both locals and visitors from all corners of the world.”
The GM reiterated since the restaurant’s inception in 2001, it has offered top-tier, luxury dining experience to customers, achieving the Michelin recognitions for its outlets in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
