UK- Coffeehouse chain Costa Coffee has announced the reopening of its Exeter High Street Store, albeit with digital enhancements and modern design.

The reopened store is open between 5 am and 11 pm daily.

The digital enhancements include a modern ordering and management system, which is expected to shorten waiting time, improve record keeping, improve customer experience, and reduce employees’ workloads.

These digital enhancements are linked with the Costa Coffee App and Costa Coffee partners, which should further enhance customer experiences.

The digital enhancements will also feature automated data collection features that utilize real-time data on sales, customer feedback, waiting times and other performance metrics. They will provide insight on performance allowing swift decision making.

The reopened store also boasts a revamped counter and contemporary seating arrangement, which are also intended to enhance customer experience.

According to Costa Coffee, the reopened location’s redesign is meant to reflect local cultural influences, incorporating artwork inspired by the area.

The Exeter location also includes a collection point for its on-the-go customers. It also features more charging points for customers that are meeting friends at the venue or those working remotely.

Costa Coffee has also expanded its menu section, more so its pastry and bakery selection featuring items like Cheese Twists and Pain au Chocolat.

Ollie Pitt, Costa Coffee’s Area Manager, said, “We’re delighted to unveil a new way to Costa at our refreshed store on Exeter High Street.”

“With convenient ordering, a new bakery range, and a fresh interior, the uplifted Exeter store brings a modern and comfortable space to the high street for the local community to enjoy.”

The reopening of the coffee chain’s Exeter store is a continuation of the company’s ongoing revamping strategy in the UK meant to modernize existing stores.

In early August, Costa Coffee upgraded its Meadowhall Drive Thru in Sheffield with similar features meant to enhance customer experience.

The drive thru also features a modern ordering and management system and a dedicated collection point for on-the-go customers. The revamped drive thru also features an expanded menu, especially pastry and bakery offerings.

The coffeehouse chain also recently reopened its London Store on New Oxford Street.
