GLOBAL – IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has announced the return of its InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand to Serbia after 20 years, in partnership with Delta Holding.

Expected to open by the end of 2026, InterContinental Belgrade will feature 203 rooms, including 28 Premium Rooms, 15 Junior Suites, 2 Superior Suites, 2 Executive Suites, and a Presidential Suite with panoramic views of the city. It will provide luxury stays designed for both leisure and business guests.

The hotel’s timeless architecture and unique features include a breathtaking sky pool, rooftop restaurant and bar, and terrace with fine dining. Visitors can enjoy its spa and wellness centre, ballroom, lobby lounge, café, patisserie and meeting spaces.

InterContinental Belgrade will be ideally located in the ‘Delta District’, a new mixed-use development in Belgrade’s business and financial centre. It offers direct connections from the city’s newly renovated Sava Centar, the largest convention and exhibition space in the region.

Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, commented: “Our world-renowned InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand has been pioneering luxury travel for more than 75 years, and it’s great to bring it back to Serbia, a country that has enjoyed a surge in tourism in recent years.

“InterContinental Belgrade is our fourth property with long-standing partners Delta Holdings, following Crowne Plaza Belgrade and Hotel Indigo Belgrade in Serbia, as well as InterContinental Ljubljana in Slovenia. We look forward to continuing to grow our partnership and welcoming even more guests to the region.”

Andrej Sovrović, Member of the Executive Board of the Delta Holding company and Cluster General Manager IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are looking to create unique places for locals and travellers to enjoy in Belgrade, which is why we are excited that InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, the world’s first and largest international luxury hotel brand, will be part of our exciting new development in the city.”

IHG operates three open properties in Serbia, all located in the capital: Hotel Indigo Belgrade, Crowne Plaza Belgrade, and Holiday Inn Belgrade. It is developing two additional Holiday Inn Express properties.

InterContinental Belgrade will join a growing portfolio of nearly 20 open and pipeline properties across the Balkans, including Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, and the Northern Republic of Macedonia.
