Costa Coffee adds Maple Hazel Iced Latte to its autumn menu

UK- Coffeehouse chain Costa Coffee has reintroduced its Maple Hazel Iced Latte to its menu offering as part of its autumn 2024 menu.

The new menu addition combines the flavours of maple and roasted hazelnut. It is finished with a biscuit topping and a light whip.

The latte will first be available to Costa Club members. It will then be made available to the general public.

Sandra Ferreira, Costa Coffee’s Beverage Innovation Director, said, “We’re delighted to bring back the Maple Hazel range, a fan-favourite that perfectly captures the feelings of the new season.”

“The Maple Hazel Iced Latte is the ideal drink to transition from summer to the cosy vibes of autumn, and we’re thrilled to reward our loyal Costa Club members with exclusive early access to this delicious limited-edition beverage.”

The move is a continuation of the coffeehouse chain’s aggressive product diversification and expansion strategy.

In late June, Costa Coffee unveiled its Golden caramel drinks range inspired by the Paris 2024 Olympics, for which the coffeehouse chain was an official sponsor. The offering can be consumed hot or iced, further diversifying its product offering.

The Maple Hazel Iced Latte was unveiled barely three days after Costa Coffee announced the reopening of its refurbished store in Billericay, England. The new outlet features technological improvements and refreshed interior design meant to enhance customer experience.

In early August, Costa Coffee also reopened its overhauled Exter High Street Store. Similar to the Billericay outlet, this outlet also features a refurbished interior design and technological improvements that enhance customer experience.

Both reopened outlets feature a touch screen ordering system, un updated counter, and modern seating choices. Their interior designs also feature artistic artefacts that reflect local influences.

In February, Costa Coffee announced a partnership with supermarket chain Sainsbury’s to open cafés across its stores across the UK. The plan aims to open 11 new cafes in the supermarket throughout 2024.

The £3 million (US$3.9 million) investment will allow customers to catch up with friends or take a break at Costa Coffee while shopping for their groceries at Sainsbury’s.
