USAHamburger restaurant chain Burger King has launched its latest beverage, the Frozen Pink Lemonade that will serve as the official frozen drink at 2024’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). 

According to Burger King, the new drink features a balance of sweet and tart flavors, which it describes as perfect for ‘summer nights of music.’ 

The partnership marks the fifth year in a row Burger King has partnered with Paramount and VMAs. It is the first time the QSR giant has introduced a new product at the awards ceremony.  

Pat O’Toole, Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King North America, expressed optimism over the partnership by saying, “We’re excited to be the frozen drink of the VMAs – a drink that’s just as cool and vibrant as the show itself, and I can’t think of a better venue to showcase our new drink for music and BK fans alike.” 

Burger King also revealed it will offer a new beverage that is complementary to music fans during two events.  

The first will be the VMAs Block Party that will take place on Sunday, September 8 at Domino Park in Williamsburg Brooklyn. The event will run from 12 to 5 pm ET. 

Guests will get to taste the new drink for free. They will also adorn themselves in a Burger King crown and will get a free Burger King and an MTV co-branded giveaway. 

The second is the VMA Awards Show which will take place on Wednesday, September 11. The Frozen Pink lemonade will be available in New York’s UBS Arena. Guests should look out for the Frozen Pink lemonade pop up for a chance to try the beverage before heading to the show. 

Burger King also revealed Royal Perks members will enjoy a free small Frozen Pink Lemonade with a purchase of US$1 or more in the Burger King app until September 11. 

Dario Spina, Chief Marketing Officer, Paramount Brand Studio, also welcomed the partnership by saying, “Burger King has been an incredible, long-standing partner in achieving that goal year after year, and we can’t wait for fans to experience all we have in store during one of music’s biggest nights.”
