UK- Pub and brewing company Greene King has reopened its Lighthouse Pub in Wallasey Village on the Wirral, England, after extensive refurbishment.
The pub was closed in July 2023 for renovation. Greene King had announced it temporarily closed the pub to give it a modernized look.
The reopened pub features major internal and external improvements. Although Greene King has provided details on the changes and improvements made to the refurbished pub, details on the costs of the investment made in the refurbishment have not been made public.
The interior comes fitted with updated décor as well as an open-plan layout with special areas that cater to different customer preferences.
It features a sports section with an open layout plan for fanatics and a dedicated cocktail and champagne zone for revellers.
The exterior features a garden area that can be expanded to accommodate 300 guests.
Greene King also announced it has hired six new staff members to manage the refurbished establishment.
However, the brewing company revealed the refurbished establishment will maintain the same food and snacks menu before refurbishment. The company revealed plans of launching a new menu by the end of the year.
Lighthouse Pub features a new cocktails menu offering a new range of drinks including Cruzcampo, Thatchers Fusion and Thatchers Gold.
The refurbished pub is intended to attract a wide variety of customers by providing an alternative, modern experience.
Tina Tiley, Lighthouse Pub’s General Manager, said, “Our team at the Lighthouse is excited to showcase our much-improved pub to the local community. We’re looking forward to welcoming both new and old customers.”
“The renovation has given the pub a much-needed refresh, and we’re excited for our customers to experience the improved facilities. Whether customers are looking for a drink with friends, a meal with the family or enjoying a sporting event, there really is something for everyone.”
The company has also revealed the new establishment will host seasonal events and regular activities. These regular activities include a quiz night on Thursday and a meet and mingle event every third Tuesday of the month.
