MEXICO- Casual dining restaurant chain PF Chang’s has opened an outlet at Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) in Mexico.

Multi-brand restaurant operator Alsea serves as its franchise partner for the new location. The new restaurant is the brand’s first airport location in Mexico and the 29th restaurant in the country.

The new location offers breakfast options that cater to early-morning travellers. It also features a grab n’ go option for those with time constraints. The new outlet also offers lunch and dinner options.

The chain reiterated customers can expect high-quality food and high-end customer service at the new location.

According to the casual dining chain, the GDL location is a continuation of its airport-location expansion strategy.

PF Chang’s now has franchise locations in five major airports worldwide, which, according to the brand, aims to offer travellers a Pan-Asian dining experience.

The company’s first airport location was launched in 2023 at Reagan national Airport (DCA). It opened its second airport location in the US at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) the same year. Master ConcessionAire is the brand’s franchise partner for both locations.

PF Chang’s third airport location was opened at Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) in Bengaluru, India, in the second half of 2023. HMSHost is the official franchise partner for this location.

This airport-location expansion strategy continued in June this year with the launch of a new outlet at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). Concessions International is the official franchise partner for this location.

The casual dining chain has also signed a letter of intent with Four Leaf Ventures as its franchise partner for a new outlet at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) in Terminal A. PF Chang’s revealed the location will be operational by 2025.

Rafik Farouk, Pf Chang’s EVP of Global Brand Development and Retail, said, “I always tell people what separates our delicious offerings from others at the airport is that we bring the renowned PF Chang’s excellence to our airport restaurants.”

“We don’t sacrifice freshness or service because we are accommodating for speed in an airport model; we evolve to maintain the quality our customers know and expect from the brand while providing a successful, efficient model for our operators.”
