DUBAI – Sofitel has launched its latest resort in the United Arab Emirates, marking the opening of the Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al Khaimah.
Located just 55 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this new resort is Sofitel’s sixth property in the UAE and offers a luxurious retreat nestled between the seaside and the majestic Hajar mountains.
The resort is set in a region known for its rich cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes, offering a unique blend of local Emirati traditions with French sophistication.
This launch is expected to significantly impact the travel and hospitality industries, attracting international tourists seeking a luxury experience while enjoying the rich cultural environment of Ras Al Khaimah.

A Blend of Eastern Hospitality and French Elegance The Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort is designed to immerse guests in an atmosphere that seamlessly blends Eastern hospitality with French luxury.
The design of the resort, crafted by the award-winning Kristina Zanic Consultants, features a harmonious fusion of French elegance and Arabic tradition. The interiors draw inspiration from Mediterranean color palettes and are complemented by local Emirati touches.
Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort offers 292 rooms and suites, each reflecting a balance of Emirati culture and contemporary French style.
The resort also features spacious “Maison” accommodations ideal for families. The design of the rooms incorporates local elements, such as traditional Al Sadu weaving patterns on rugs, combined with vibrant colors and artistic touches.
These design choices create a warm and inviting atmosphere where guests can relax and unwind in comfort.
The hotel has six unique dining spaces, including three bars. The resort’s culinary offerings span various international and local flavors, ensuring that every guest finds something to enjoy.
The Citron café in the lobby embodies modern French elegance, while the East restaurant takes diners on a global culinary journey. For a taste of Polynesian culture, Waka celebrates the culinary heritage of the Pacific islands.
Meanwhile, wine enthusiasts will be drawn to the Veritas Wine Bar, which offers a curated selection of international wines.
The resort also includes the Samphire Pool Bar, located along one of the outdoor pools, offering a refreshing menu of cocktails. These dining experiences are expected to draw food enthusiasts from across the world, contributing to the resort’s allure as a premier culinary destination in the UAE.
The resort is the first Sofitel in the UAE to feature a Sofitel Spa with Clarins, providing guests with personalized treatments designed to enhance their wellbeing.
