CANADA – Fast food chain A&W Canada has expanded its beverage portfolio with Pret A Manger’s organic Classic Blend Coffee in all its locations.

The beverage offering expansion follows a two-year trial with Pret A Manger pop-up shops in select Vancouver and Toronto A&W outlets.

The success of this layout has led to the launch of Canada’s first standalone Pret A-Manger location in Toronto.

Scott Darlow, Pret A Manger Head at A&W Canada, said, “Pret Coffee’s exceptional quality and taste have won over coffee lovers worldwide, and we’re thrilled to bring it to over 1,000 locations across Canada.”

“We’ve tested Pret coffee in select A&W locations where it quickly became a favourite among guests, which led us to make it our official coffee at all A&W restaurants. We’re excited to bring this beloved coffee to more Canadians.

Karan Suri, A&W Canada’s menu director, also welcomed the menu expansion.

Suri praised Pret coffee’s unique flavour blend as well as the resounding success of its offering in select Vancouver and Toronto locations.

The menu director attributed the success to the coffee brand’s unique flavour profile as well as the alignment of their vision for offering customers maximum value.

Suri also praised Pret A Manger’s focus on quality ingredients and sustainable practices.

The beverage expansion is a continuation of the fast food chain’s strategy of partnering with beverage companies.

It comes barely two months after A&W Canada announced an exclusive partnership with Labatt Breweries to pilot a non-alcoholic beer.

The collaboration made A&W the first quick-service restaurant in Canada to serve non-alcoholic beer options, tapping into the growing market of consumers seeking alcohol-free alternatives.

Budweiser Zero, the non-alcoholic beer with only 50 calories per 355 mililiters was added to the QSR chain’s beverage menu.

Amanda Wang, A&W Canada’s Marketing Director, reiterated the fast food chain is committed to complementing the customer experience through offering beverage offerings that blend well with its burger offerings.

Wang stated it strives to strengthen the value offered to customers and facilitate growth through offering a broader beverage offering to its customers.
