KENYA – The 2nd edition of the Africa Traveltech Summit & Expo begins in Nairobi on September 24, 2024, at the Argyle Grand Hotel, Nairobi Airport.
The first day of the event begins at 8 am, with a registration and early morning breakfast session. From 9 am, Mr Gustave Sugira, the CEO of SNG Events, is scheduled to offer welcoming remarks to exhibitors, speakers and attendees.
From 9:15 am to 9:45 am, Dr Joseph Kithitu, Chairman of KATA and Mr Fred Kaigua, CEO of KATO are scheduled to offer opening remarks to everyone at the event.
Mr Bayo Adedeji, Group CEO of Wakanow is also scheduled to make a presentation on the Future of Travel technology in Africa from 9:45 am to 10:15 am.
A panel discussion on Revolutionizing Travel Booking Systems in Africa is scheduled to take place between 10:15 am to 11:15 am.
The panellists for this discussion are Mr Adedaji, Ms Amanda Owen, Expedia Group’s Director for African Indian Ocean and Israel, Mr Albert Fernando, CEO and Founder of Travelwings and Mr Barry Clemens, CEO of Hospitality EQ.
A short networking coffee break will take place from 11:15 am to noon.
Mr. Matthijs Verberkmoes is scheduled to make a Safarioffice presentation from noon to 12:30 pm.
A panel discussion on Sustainable Tourism and Eco-Friendly Travel Solutions is scheduled to take place from 13”30 pm to 1:30 pm. The panelists for the discussion are Mr Nicanor Sabula, CEO of KATA, Ms Moniques Diez, Sales Director MEA for JR technology, Mr Verberkmoes and Mr Sumit Dodhia, CEO of SUMOTRIPS.
Ms Diez will make a half-hour presentation before a networking lunch break from 3 pm to 4 pm.
The last panel discussion of the day will be on Enhancing Customer Experience Through Digital Innovation will take place from 3 pm till 4 pm.
The panelists for this discussion are Mr Havar Bauck, Founder Hotelonline, Ms petra Baumann Villla Rosa Kempinski’s General Manager, Mr Krishna Unni Sankara Nairobi’s Group General Manager and Ms marina Cangelaris, founder and CEO of gotukio.com.
The first day is scheduled to end at 5 pm after a 1-hour exhibition session.
