UAE – Restaurant investment network and events series Global Restaurant Investment Forum (GRIF) has invited operators, investors, and stakeholders to mark its 10th anniversary in an exclusive two-day event in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
The event will take place from October 7th to October 8th at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
GRIF has served as a crucial platform that has brought together more than 1,000 stakeholders in the food service sector.
According to the forum, the Edinburgh event is intended to provide restaurant operators across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) with a unique opportunity to tap into the UK market.
The exclusive event is intended to foster valuable connections, drive strategic deals, and facilitate key discussions on the latest industry trends, all aimed at propelling the global expansion of restaurant brands.
GRIF revealed the event is set to feature industry leaders and experts to speak over the two days. The lineup includes Robin Rowland OBE, Partner at Trispan, Michael Toxvaerd, Executive Director at Nightcap PLC, Harry Goss, Partner at McWin Capital Partners, Grace Harding, CEO of Ocean Basket Holdings and Faisal Shaker, Founder, Board Member & CEO at Modern Food Company (MFC) & Modern Elite Company.
The event will also feature networking sessions and study tours intended to offer attendees the valuable opportunity to connect with industry peers.
GRIF also revealed the event will feature local site visits that are designed to inspire attendees, including a welcome lunch at the Balmoral and a reception at the Alchemist.
The site visits will also include tours of popular locations like Somewhere by Nico, Dean Banks’ restaurants, Virgin Hotels Edinburgh, Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel, W Edinburgh, Panda & Sons, The Tigerlily, The DogHouse by BrewDog, and Cardinal, among others.
Edinburgh was selected as a preferred destination for GRIF’s 10th anniversary because of its flourishing restaurant scene.
According to a report by the Hospitality Market Spotlight, the city’s revenues for full-service branded hotels and restaurants increased by 22% in the 2023/2024 financial year compared to the previous year.
GRIF has called on restaurant operators and stakeholders across the GCC to take advantage of the networking opportunities and insightful programs at the event.
