USA – Multinational fried chicken restaurant chain has partnered with delivery platform DoorDash to bring the chain’s extensive Wings line-up directly to fans at tailgates, watch parties, and customers’ homes through the Wing Truck Tailgate Tour.
The Wing Truck Tailgate Tour will take place every weekend for the entire American football season.
The marketing campaign is in line with the chain’s crafted market niche of being the self-proclaimed Official Wing of Watching Football.
According to Popeyes, chicken wing lovers and American football fans can purchase a special Popeyes bundle exclusively through DoorDash that includes 24-piece wings with three regular sides and four dipping sauces at 25% off the in-store price starting from October 5.
The Wing Truck will feature the Sweet ‘N Smokey Chipotle, Honey BBQ, Roasted Garlic Parmesan, Signature Hot, Ghost Pepper, Honey Lemon Pepper, and Sweet ‘N Spicy wing flavors.
The offer also offers fans the opportunity to win a visit from the Popeyes Wing Truck: a food truck fully equipped with Game Day essentials including games, photo moments, music, and a feast of Popeyes Wings and side dishes.
The Wing Truck will also show up at college tailgates and watch parties across the South as part of the campaign.
Bart LaCount, Chief Marketing Officer at Popeyes, said, “At Popeyes, we know the excitement of game day goes beyond the field—it’s also about bringing people together to enjoy great food and great moments.”
“And, as the Official Wing of Watching Football, we’re committed to being a part of every fan’s experience, no matter where they choose to watch.”
The CMO emphasized the campaign is meant to cement the chicken chain’s position as a focal point of American football in America.
The chain encourages fans to register at PopeyesOfficialWingTruck.com for a chance to win the food truck experience. The entry window will end on October 10.
The chain also revealed no purchase is required to enter or win. It is, however, restricted to US residents except Alaska and Hawaii.
It is also restricted to individuals who are 21 years or older at the time of entry.
