Stonegate Group launches Social Pub & Kitchen concept in select refurbished pubs

UK – The largest pub company in the UK, Stonegate Group has unveiled its Social Pub & Kitchen brand after rebranding and refurbishing several pubs across Scotland and England.

The company revealed the revamp work cost £5 million (US$6.53 million) in the 2023-2024 financial year. Stonegate Group also revealed plans to allocate additional funds for similar revamped work in the 2024-2025 financial year.

The new brand, part of Stonegate’s portfolio since 2022, is currently showcased in various refurbished pubs with new branding.

Every Social Pub & Kitchen features a unique design, with specific design elements that reflect local culture and preferences, which range from everything sports team homages to collaborations with local artists.

Recently refurbished pubs that bear the new brand include the Gosta Green and Bristol Pear in Birmingham, The Anchor in Bristol, The City Arms in Oxford, and Off The Wall in Chester.

According to Stonegate, sports screenings will be a central aspect of the Social Pub & Kitchen brand, with live broadcasts of major events across football, boxing, Formula One, rugby, and women’s sports expected to be a core event for locations.

This focal brand identity is also reflected in the contemporary design of locations under the brand, albeit enhanced by the unique locally-influenced design elements.

The pub company emphasized this novel brand identity as an incorporation of the ‘Pub 2.0’ concept, which strives to modernize the traditional British pub experience by offering high-quality drinks, sociable food, and a relaxed atmosphere tailored to each location.

Stonegate also revealed the brand’s commitment to inclusivity is enhanced by partnerships with England Netball and HerGameToo.

The company also revealed it has formed collaborations with Camden Brewery for uniforms and Doritos and Heineken for a Champions League meal deal.

The new brand will also offer a bottomless brunch, popular among its other managed pubs that features a two-hour experience with a diverse menu and drinks such as the Pornstar Martini.

The Social Pub & Kitchen brand is also integrated into Stonegate’s MiXR app, which provides users with exclusive deals, a pub locator, and a rewards system.
