AUSTRALIA – Accor renews agreements with 40+ Australian hotels, securing major investments in renovations and rebranding, strengthening its presence across the region.
Australia’s largest hotel operator has secured the renewal of agreements covering 5,500 rooms across its portfolio, reinforcing its position in the market.
Since early 2022, Accor Pacific’s partners have invested over US$450 million in renovations and refurbishments, showcasing the strong and collaborative relationships between Accor and some of Australia’s most prominent hotel owners.
Accor celebrated its 40th renewal by expanding its partnership with Silversea Investments through a long-term franchise deal.
This agreement includes significant refurbishment plans for Novotel Sydney Parramatta and the rebranding of Mercure Sydney Parramatta to Novotel Sydney Rosehill, both set for substantial upgrades.
In addition, the luxurious Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort, a five-star hotel on the Sunshine Coast, has extended its collaboration with Accor. The resort is set to unveil renovation plans aimed at enhancing its prestigious positioning along Noosa’s iconic Hasting Street.
Accor’s network, which now exceeds 350 hotels across Australia, owes much of its success to the strength of its relationships with both local and international hotel owners.
“This significant investment is a direct commitment to our brands,” said Accor Pacific’s chief operating officer, PM&E, Adrian Williams.
“It is a clear and strong affirmation of our partners’ confidence and trust in the quality and value of our brands.”
According to Williams, the company has recently boosted operational support, placing additional leaders in key cities across the Pacific region. This allows for faster decision-making and more efficient resource allocation where it is most needed.
“Accor has been operating in Australia for more than 30 years and a feature of our outstanding relationships with owners is our commitment to ensure their hotels remain at the forefront of the market through elevated guest services, facilities and satisfaction,” he said.
Accor Pacific’s chief development officer, Lindsay Leeser, said, “Separate to our managed network, we have developed the largest dedicated hotel franchise platform, with the largest franchise support team in the market, allowing us to work with franchise owners or third-party operators in a way that suits their business and investment strategies.
“We have more than 30 years of franchising experience, and that really counts for owners operating in such a highly competitive market.”
With over three decades of franchising experience, Accor’s expertise continues to offer significant advantages to hotel owners in an increasingly competitive market.
