MEA – Rotana, a hotel management company, has unveiled its ambitious expansion plans, targeting Africa and other regions.

Rotana announced this at the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS). By 2026, Rotana plans to open 43 new properties across 26 cities in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Türkiye.

These developments will add 9,049 rooms, boosting Rotana’s total to 30,225 keys, strengthening its presence in key markets.

Rotana’s latest brand, Edge by Rotana, launched in 2022, now has seven operational properties. An additional six hotels are under development in the MENAT region. In Africa, Rotana is gearing up for several high-profile projects.

The 150-key Arjaan Hotel Apartments by Rotana in Dakar, Senegal, will open in 2026. Additionally, Azure Rotana Thalasso & Spa will launch in Oran, Algeria. Rotana is also working on luxury hotel projects in Cairo and Luxor.

Philip Barnes, CEO of Rotana, expressed enthusiasm about the group’s growth plans. He emphasized their commitment to the region and their belief in tourism’s future, a sentiment echoed at the Future Hospitality Summit.

Barnes highlighted Rotana’s heritage as a homegrown brand, excited to bring its unique blend of world-class standards and genuine hospitality to more travelers.

Currently, Rotana operates 82 hotels across the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Türkiye, with many new projects planned, including luxury properties in Turkey and beyond.

Rotana manages a diverse portfolio of over 100 properties across the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, with an ambitious expansion plan underway. Emphasizing the value of time, Rotana has introduced the concept of ‘Treasured Time,’ pledging to meet each guest’s unique needs.

To achieve this, Rotana has evolved its brands to include Rotana Hotels & Resorts, Centro Hotels by Rotana, Rayhaan Hotels & Resorts by Rotana, Arjaan Hotel Apartments by Rotana, and The Residences by Rotana. ‘Treasured Time’ embodies Rotana’s commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.
