Ajman Tourism Development Department showcases AI solutions for tourism sector at GITEX Global 2024

UAE – Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) has showcased a variety of AI-powered digital services meant to support the tourism sector at GITEX Global 2024, the largest tech exhibition in the world.

ATDD unveiled the ‘plan your trip’ platform at the event, a fully AI-based system designed to help tourists customize their itineraries. Users interact with the system through its AI-powered smart assistant.

Users can also interact with the system by filling out an e-form to receive a detailed tourism plan that includes attractions, activities, events, and restaurant recommendations aligned with their preferences.

The organization also unveiled a revamped version of its digital services system. It features an AI-powered smart personal assistant capable of handling customer inquiries, service procedures, requirements, and fees.

It also features tourist guidance services like information about specific locations (especially the UAE), museums, attractions, and activities.

However, unlike the ‘plan your trip’ platform, this feature is based on a comprehensive database and not essentially AI.

The revamped digital service system also provides access to all government services and tourism information, such as reports, decrees, and resolutions, along with quick services and open data.

H.E. Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of Ajman Tourism Development Department, said, “We are pleased to demonstrate our commitment to enhancing digital transformation in Ajman’s tourism sector at GITEX Global 2024, a leading technology event.”

“Our participation will focus on unveiling innovative tech services and highlighting key projects that enhance the Emirate’s tourism landscape, driving it towards a more positive and sustainable future. The aim of these solutions is to assist visitors in planning tailored trips to Ajman, offering a flexible and personalized experience.”

The director general reiterated the event is the ideal platform for showcasing such advancements.

He reiterated the advancements showcased at the event are meant to improve the tourist experiences for visitors coming into the UAE and beyond, positioning Ajman as a leader in smart and sustainable tourist solutions.

ATDD also relaunched its website, featuring a user-friendly interface, featuring an AI-powered smart assistance capable of handling inquiries, service requirements, and procedures offered by the organizations.
