UAE – Asian fusion restaurant chain Oodles Wok has opened its flagship store in the UAE in Motor City, Dubai as part of its global expansion strategy.
According to the restaurant chain, Motor City was strategically selected after months of extensive research for its unique blend of modernity and cultural diversity, which aligns with Oodles Wok’s growth strategy.
The location was also selected for its food brand hubs, which complement Motor City’s diverse expatriate community. The location was also selected for its close proximity to key locations in Dubai, which the chain hopes will translate to substantial foot traffic.
Motor City is also home to several key UK-based food brands, which makes the location a natural fit for the chain’s first outlet outside the UK.
Mohammed Umar, the chain’s co-founder stated Oodles Wok’s head chef from the UK will temporarily oversee operations in its new Dubai location to ensure proper training for staff and maintain the authentic taste of its signature dishes.
The new restaurant’s menu features a variety of Eastern-inspired fusion dishes and freshly made noodles that promise a flavorful experience with every dish served.
Umar promises a symphony of flavors in its diverse menu, which mimics the menu offerings in its UK outlets. The UK head chef will maintain the brand’s unique flavors, which should ease the transition before a new head chef is selected.
The co-founder also revealed the new Motor City outlet will become a training center for future franchise partners in the UAE. The chain also revealed it intends to follow the same operation model as company-owned outlets in the UK.
The new location also features an open kitchen allowing guests to witness the culinary process that goes into their meal preparation.
Mohammed Umar welcomed the new location by saying, “Dubai’s thriving expat community and reputation as a global culinary hub made it the perfect fit for our international growth.”
The co-founder also revealed several potential franchise partners have already made inquiries into further expansion in the UAE, a reflection of the potential of the UAE restaurant sector.
The chain also revealed plans to expand into France before the end of the year.
