UAE – Restaurant franchiser Lavoya Restaurant Group has announced the acquisition of the Mediterranean restaurant concept franchise Em Sherif Deli.
The financial details of the acquisition were not revealed to the public.
Lavoya Restaurant Group has committed to launching multiple Em Sherif Deli locations across the UAE, which it revealed is intended to broaden its footprint and market share of the promising hospitality sector in the country.
The company also revealed it will revamp the franchise, renovating some outlets and further diversifying the restaurant concept’s culinary offering.
The acquisition emphasizes the franchiser’s commitment to diversifying its portfolio and strategic expansion in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Lavoya also reiterated the move aligns with its mission of offering unique, alternative dining experiences through introducing fresh casual dining concepts in the GCC and beyond.

Dani Chaccour, CEO of Em Sherif Deli also welcomed the acquisition. He expressed excitement over the move, emphasizing the acquisition is an excellent opportunity for the restaurant concept to grow in a competitive and promising market.
The restaurant concept’s CEO praised Lavoya’s track record in the hospitality sector. He described the track record as ‘proof’ it is capable of growing its footprint.
The restaurant concept was opened in January 2022, offering Deli exclusive dishes such as breakfast offerings, plats du jour, sandwiches, salads, small bites, and sweet treats.
Em Sherif Deli also has a specialty beverage corner serving innovative takes on traditional drinks like Matté, Arak, and natural wines, as well as a house-made Mouneh (Pantry) and a special Deli merchandise corner.
The first outlet was launched in London but has since expanded in Beirut’s downtown modern and iconic architectural landmark, the Starco building. This outlet was opened in March.
