USA – One-stop digital operations platform for restaurant operators Marqii has secured a US$10 million Series B funding round to expand its reach and enhance its digital operations platform for restaurants.
The recent investment in Marqii was spearheaded by Next Coast Ventures, with additional participation from Rich Products Ventures and existing investors such as Maccabee Ventures.
This new round of funding raises Marqii’s total capital to US$20 million, significantly enhancing its resources for ongoing growth and product development. In September 2023, the company had already completed a Series A funding round, securing US$4.5 million.
Marqii’s platform is designed to integrate with a wide range of point-of-sale (POS) systems and over 80 listing sites, which streamlines data management and automates updates.
This integration enables restaurants and hospitality businesses to conserve time and resources, allowing their staff to concentrate on essential operations and improving customer service.
The latest funding will be utilized to further develop Marqii’s platform and extend its influence within the hospitality sector. The company aims to introduce new features such as tools for social media management and enhanced analytics capabilities.
These additions are intended to offer a more comprehensive solution for managing the digital presence of hospitality businesses and fostering customer engagement online.
Moreover, Marqii plans to expand its workforce in sales, engineering, and customer success, reflecting its commitment to delivering high-quality support and services to clients.
Marqii has demonstrated a remarkable growth trajectory over the past year, having added 4,000 new locations to its platform, which marks a 50% increase in its customer base, bringing the total to over 12,000 operators.
The company has also witnessed a rise in adoption among larger hospitality businesses, with one-third of its clients now managing 30 or more locations. This trend indicates that the platform’s value proposition resonates with both small independent businesses and larger multi-unit operators.
In terms of product innovation, Marqii has launched several notable features. For instance, in August, the company introduced its AI-powered Suggested Review Response feature, which automates the creation of personalized and brand-aligned replies to reviews.
This functionality has significantly cut down the time required for hospitality teams to manage online reviews and engage with their customers. Early users of this feature have reported a remarkable 70% reduction in the time taken to draft responses.
