SAUDI ARABIA – The fifth edition of the tourism extravaganza featuring entertainment, cultural, and sporting events, Riyadh Season 2024 has attracted 4 million visitors since it kicked off on October 12.

Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), announced the achievement, emphasizing its broad appeal to both local and international audiences.

Al-Sheikh credited the event’s success to its wide array of activities and entertainment zones, which cater to diverse tastes and demographics, a trend that began in the opening week.

This year’s edition features five main zones: Boulevard World, Kingdom Arena, Boulevard City, The Venue, and Al-Suwaidi Park.

Boulevard World has expanded by 30% to accommodate the increased number of visitors, introducing new events and attractions.

The zone now includes five additional sections representing Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Iran, Africa, and Courchevel, bringing the total to 22 unique areas. In addition to these cultural offerings, Boulevard World also boasts 300 restaurants and cafés, alongside more than 890 shops.

A highlight of the first month occurred in Kingdom Arena, where Artur Beterbiev triumphed over Dmitry Bivol in a thrilling boxing match, claiming the title of undisputed light heavyweight champion.

This historic event, held in the season’s opening week, further cemented Riyadh Season’s status as a prominent Middle Eastern tourism and entertainment hub.

The Venue, a new addition located near Kingdom Arena, has quickly become a favorite among visitors, offering top-tier events and attractions.

The season also kicked off with the prestigious Six Kings Slam Championship, regarded as the world’s most expensive tennis tournament. The event saw top-ranked players like Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Rafael Nadal, Daniil Medvedev, and Holger Rune competing.

In addition to the excitement at The Venue, both Boulevard City and Boulevard World are bustling with dining options, entertainment, and cultural displays.

For families, Riyadh Zoo and Al-Suwaidi Park offer relaxed, scenic experiences with wildlife interactions. The recent opening of Wonder Garden on November 7 introduced fantasy-themed attractions, adding a magical element to the season.

The record-breaking attendance highlights Riyadh Season’s growing role in establishing Saudi Arabia as a leading global entertainment destination.

This year’s offerings include a diverse range of attractions such as wrestling, boxing, tennis, concerts by renowned artists, and unique entertainment experiences, ensuring that visitors have an unforgettable experience.
