SOUTH AFRICA – International hotel company Radison Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Sandra Kneubuhler as its new Managing Director for the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
Sandra Kneubuhler joined Radisson Hotel Group in early 2019 and has consistently showcased strong leadership and a commitment to achieving high standards according to the company.
Initially serving as Country Director of Sales and District Director for South Africa, she played an instrumental role in establishing and leading the company’s Cluster Sales Team.
Her strategic focus on building high-performing teams has made her a pivotal figure in the company’s success in South Africa. Under her leadership, the commercial and operational teams delivered substantial value for stakeholders, contributing to the group’s overall performance.
In her expanded role, Sandra will now oversee operations in Radisson Hotel Group’s English-speaking African markets.
This new responsibility aligns with the Group’s strategy to cultivate regional talent and broaden its presence in Africa, a key growth market.
Sandra’s extensive background in African hospitality, combined with her expertise in strategic revenue growth, team building, and operational efficiency, makes her particularly qualified to lead the Group’s initiatives in this region.
Tim Cordon, Radisson Hotel Group’s Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia Pacific, expressed confidence in Sandra’s capabilities.

Sandra’s hospitality career spans over 20 years, with a significant tenure at Hyatt Hotels Corporation before joining Radisson.
At Hyatt, she served as Global Sales Director for Africa, where her efforts led to a 30% increase in revenue within two years, supported by the launch of new global sales offices.
She also held leadership roles in Qatar and South Africa, including Acting General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing, where her strategic and financial insights contributed to notable profitability growth.
