INDIA – AI-enabled fully automated robotic kitchen Nala Robotics has launched BIRYANIMAN, the first robotic maker marking a significant advancement in the culinary process of the world-famous dish.
The new kitchen robot developed can prepare up to 100 varieties of biryani, combining traditional cooking methods with cutting-edge technology.
The robot’s design utilizes advanced robotics alongside AI-driven algorithms, meticulously ensuring every element, from spice proportions to the layering of ingredients, meets high-quality standards.
The robot will debut at BIRYANIBUFFET in Naperville, Illinois, where it will serve a range of biryani styles, including well-known variations like Hyderabadi and Lucknowi.
Customers will have the chance to sample biryanis crafted by a robotic chef with precise consistency.

He emphasized that BIRYANIMAN represents more than a machine; it’s a culinary artist capable of recreating the complex biryani-making process with accuracy and finesse.
Sunkara added that this innovation marks a significant advancement for both home kitchens and commercial restaurants, where precision and quality are critical.
Offering both spicy chicken biryanis and aromatic vegetarian options, the robot guarantees consistent flavor and texture with each dish, achieving the authenticity that biryani enthusiasts expect.
BIRYANIMAN stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to enhancing gourmet cooking through technology. This trend towards automation addresses the growing demand for reliably executed global cuisine, without compromising on flavor or quality.
The company’s chairman, Massimo Noja De Marco, noted that integrating robotics with complex cuisines like biryani ensures that each serving remains true to the intended recipe every time, which is the source of value to customers.
The company also plans to open BOT BITES, a 24-hour multi-cuisine robotic restaurant, at the University of Northern Texas, and install its WingMan robotic chef at a Bluemound, Texas truck stop, transforming the site into a round-the-clock food destination.
