MOROCCO – The inaugural “Morocco Showcase Summit: Tourism, Hospitality, Invest” meant to bring together investors, developers, and hospitality leaders is set to take place from November 19 to 20 at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca.

The Morocco Showcase Summit will host more than 300 international investors, hoteliers, and tourism leaders from 15 countries.

Participants will have opportunities to network with government officials, industry experts, and potential partners.

Major hotel chains, including Accor, Radisson Hotel Group, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, will also attend.

The bilingual summit, organized by Société Marocaine d’Ingénierie Touristique (SMIT) and API Events, will explore Morocco’s innovative initiatives to drive investment in tourism.

With a target of 26 million annual visitors by 2030, Morocco aims to double its current visitor numbers. Key to this ambition are initiatives like the CAP Hospitality Fund and strategic investments in infrastructure.

SMIT is working to modernize Morocco’s hotel sector by forming partnerships with international hotel brands and investment promotion agencies.

Leveraging its rich cultural heritage, scenic landscapes, and its strategic location connecting Europe, Africa, and the Americas, Morocco presents considerable investment opportunities in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

Imad Barrakad, Chairman and CEO of SMIT, emphasized that now is the perfect time to invest in Morocco’s hospitality market.

He noted the agency’s commitment to supporting hotel and leisure developments as demand for tourism grows.

According to Barrakad, investors can take advantage of this expansion and establish a presence before the tourism boost expected from the 2030 World Cup by participating in such events.

Philippe Bijaoui, Chief Development Officer for Accor in Europe and North Africa, shared his enthusiasm for the summit, calling Morocco a prime location for investment due to its outstanding hospitality opportunities. He added that the company is eager to accelerate its growth in the country.

Murray Anderson-Ogle, Managing Director of API Events, highlighted Morocco’s appeal to investors, noting the country’s stable currency, increasing tourism demand, and infrastructure developments aimed at supporting millions of new visitors.

The government’s focus on attracting investments and developing world-class accommodations ensures that the nation will meet the increasing demand.

The Morocco Showcase Summit is a vital platform to tap into the potential of this dynamic market.
