SAUDI ARABIA – The Hotelier Saudi Awards will return in 2025, and nominations are now officially open for individuals and teams in the Kingdom’s hospitality sector.
The ceremony, which celebrates outstanding talent in the hotel industry, will take place once again in Riyadh. While the specific date and venue are still to be announced, the event promises to be a major highlight in the hospitality calendar.
Since its debut in February 2023, the Hotelier Saudi Awards has quickly established itself as a key event in recognizing the achievements of the Kingdom’s hotel industry.
The second edition, held in 2024, saw winners across 23 categories, with the event receiving widespread attention for honoring the hard work and dedication of those behind the success of the Kingdom’s hotels.
The 2025 event will build on this success, with the number of award categories expanding to 25. This growth underscores the increasing importance of recognizing a wide range of professionals, from front desk staff to general managers, in contributing to the excellence of Saudi Arabia’s hospitality scene.
The organizers of the Hotelier Saudi Awards have expressed pride in the growth of the ceremony. “The expansion of categories highlights the ongoing development and innovation in the hospitality sector,” said a spokesperson for the event.
“We are excited to celebrate the talents of those who play such a crucial role in the continued success of Saudi Arabia’s hotel industry.”
New categories added
The expanded list of categories for the 2025 awards will include new recognitions in areas like guest services, security, and sustainability.
These additions reflect the diverse skill sets required to maintain a successful hotel. For example, awards will now recognize exceptional professionals in fields such as concierge services, engineering, human resources, and safety and security.
Categories like “GM of the Year – Mid-range to Upscale” and “Hotel Team of the Year – Luxury” have been introduced to cover a broader spectrum of the industry, highlighting the contributions of both individuals and teams.
Nominations are open to those working within or operating hotels in Saudi Arabia, and submissions must be received by Thursday, December 26.
The ceremony is free to enter, and anyone in the hospitality sector is encouraged to submit their nominations via the event’s official website.
Highlights from 2024
The Hotelier Saudi Awards 2024 was held in February at voco Riyadh, drawing over 250 attendees from across the hospitality industry.
The event served as a platform to recognize the exceptional contributions of individuals like Suhail Badri, who was named Concierge/Guest Services Person of the Year, and Montaser Galal, honored as Hotel Engineer of the Year for his work in sustainability.
These individuals and others were celebrated for their dedication to improving the guest experience and advancing the standards of Saudi Arabia’s hospitality industry.
