INDIA – Tech-powered restaurant service provider Skope Kitchens has introduced India’s first kitchen-as-a-service platform in Bangalore, offering first adopters the unique opportunity of zero-cost expansion.
Skope Kitchens’s new innovative infrastructure features AI-powered systems for optimizing multi-brand operations, a central tray system with designated preparation zones, smart lockers with digital integration, and sustainability measures designed to minimize waste compared to traditional kitchens.
This pioneering model aims to revolutionize the foodservice industry by offering brands the opportunity to expand beyond their initial locations without incurring additional overhead costs.
As part of its launch, Skope announced a zero-cost expansion for the first three brand partners across four upcoming locations in Bangalore.
Arvind Krishnan, co-founder of Skope Kitchens, highlighted the challenges faced by restaurants in the present day by saying, “The math is brutal for restaurants. Even brands with great food and loyal customers often fail due to high operational costs when scaling. We’re completely reimagining that equation.”
During its global research, Skope identified a critical link between operational excellence and workplace dignity.
“Our model demonstrates that efficiency can be maximized while ensuring every team member is treated as vital to success,” Krishnan added.
By moving away from traditional hierarchical structures, Skope promotes an inclusive work environment, fostering respect and equal opportunities for all staff members.
In its first year, Skope plans to collaborate with 60 diverse brands, including prominent restaurant chains.
Its competitive royalty fees, ranging from 6% to 8%, are particularly attractive to emerging brands aiming for rapid expansion while retaining full ownership and control.
Tom Mathew, co-founder of Skope Kitchens, explained the benefits of their system: “Traditional expansion involves huge capital investments, new staff recruitment, and significant operational challenges.
Our model allows brands to connect to our infrastructure and immediately scale their presence while maintaining full control over their brand and recipes.”
Skope’s approach addresses a critical issue in the restaurant industry, where 60% of businesses fail within their first year.
By removing operational barriers to scaling, the company not only supports individual brands but also redefines growth strategies for the entire sector.
Founded by industry pioneers Arvind Krishnan and Tom Mathew, Skope Kitchens is India’s first comprehensive kitchen-as-a-service platform. Combining advanced technology with operational expertise, the company empowers food brands to expand seamlessly while promoting a more equitable and sustainable industry landscape.
