CHINA – Bakery chain Chanson International has extended its partnership with hospitality management company Xinjiang Hengtai Investment to expand its coffee brand Soul ● Song, in Yili, Xinjiang, China.
This launch marks Chanson’s first foray into franchising, creating a collaborative framework with Xinjiang Hengtai. Building on its strong presence in the Yili region, the company has set an ambitious goal of opening five additional Soul ● Song cafés under the franchise model by the end of 2025.
The expansion was inspired by the café’s recent promising performance.
The café achieved outstanding daily sales of 30,000 yuan (approximately US$4,143) on two separate occasions in August 2024, marking the highest single-day revenue for the company’s coffee products.
Gang Li, Chanson’s CEO and Chairman, described the introduction of the franchise model as a major milestone in the evolution of the Soul ● Song brand.
He emphasized the company’s strategic focus on enhancing brand visibility and refining its marketing approach.
Speaking about the location, Li noted that Nalati, a 5A-level government-rated tourist resort renowned for its cultural richness and scenic beauty, was chosen as an ideal site to highlight Soul ● Song’s premium positioning.
He added, “Our goal is to provide consumers with an unparalleled experience that blends culinary and cultural elements. We believe this franchise model will not only drive sustainable growth for Chanson but also contribute to the vitality of Xinjiang’s local tourism economy.”
In July 2024, Chanson, in partnership with Xinjiang Hengtai, launched a Soul ● Song café at the Nalati National Tourist Resort in Yili, an initiative that quickly broke sales records for the company.
Founded in 2009, Chanson International Holding specializes in bakery, seasonal, and beverage products, operating chain stores in both China and the United States.
Headquartered in Urumqi, China, the company directly manages outlets in Xinjiang and New York City, offering packaged and freshly prepared bakery products, eat-in services, and a wide range of beverages. Its products are also available through digital and third-party online food ordering platforms.
With its growing café network and innovative strategies, Chanson is positioning itself to further expand its footprint in the competitive food and beverage sector.
