MIDDLE EAST – Food service operator Epik Foods has launched the first ever ‘Carbon-Neutral Meals’ menu in the Middle East at its Poke & Co and Acai & Co restaurant brands.

In collaboration with CarbonSifr, a UAE-based climate-tech firm accredited by TÜV Rheinland, Epik Foods has carefully measured the carbon footprint of every ingredient and preparation step in selected dishes from its Poke & Co and Acai & Co menus.

The company achieves this thorough analysis and tracks emissions from sourcing through to serving, ensuring an accurate assessment of each meal’s environmental impact.

To create its “Carbon-neutral Meals,” Epik Foods selected ingredients that naturally reduce emissions and adopted cooking methods that further minimize the environmental footprint.

Any remaining emissions are offset by investments in verified carbon removal projects, neutralizing the company’s impact while supporting global climate solutions.

To make these eco-friendly options easily accessible to its customers, Epik Foods absorbs any extra costs associated with carbon-neutral meals, ensuring they are priced the same as the company’s standard menu items.

In addition, these meals are packaged in plastic-free materials, offering customers a sustainable choice that complements their commitment to the environment.
