Advancing South Africa’s tourism

The 2024 Inter-Hotel Challenge emphasizes the broader effort to elevate South Africa’s profile as a global hospitality destination.

This success aligns with the nation’s initiatives to foster growth in the tourism sector, including its presence at international events such as ITB Berlin.

Scheduled for March 2025, ITB Berlin is the world’s largest travel trade show, drawing participants from nearly 200 countries. South African Tourism has called on businesses to join the country’s pavilion under the “Africa On Show” banner. Subsidized participation fees aim to encourage inclusivity and promote smaller enterprises.

A representative from the South African National Convention Bureau stated, “We strive to ensure that businesses of all sizes can showcase their offerings to a global audience, fostering economic recovery and growth.”

Applications for ITB Berlin are open until December 30, 2024, through the event’s online platform.
