Morocco showcase summit highlights tourism investment potential

MOROCCO – The Morocco Showcase Summit, held on November 19-20 at the Casablanca Marriott Hotel, highlighted Morocco’s tourism sector as a thriving investment destination.

Organized by API Events in partnership with the Société Marocaine d’Ingénierie Touristique (SMIT), the event emphasized the nation’s readiness to welcome global partnerships as it gears up for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

The two-day summit attracted 351 participants from 20 countries, including key government officials, investors, and representatives from leading hotel chains.

With 70 expert speakers and 22 sponsors, the event served as a collaborative space for stakeholders to explore opportunities in Morocco’s flourishing tourism sector.

“This event reflects Morocco’s determination to expand its tourism landscape,” said an API Events representative. “It brought together diverse voices to shape the industry’s future.”

Sponsors played a vital role in delivering a high-quality summit. Their involvement showcased Morocco’s appeal across various tourism-related opportunities, from infrastructure development to hospitality services. Detailed presentations shared during the event offered valuable insights for potential investors.

The event’s marketing efforts were equally robust, combining email campaigns, social media outreach, and media partnerships.

Posts on platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram garnered over 137,000 impressions, further amplifying its visibility. Additionally, WhatsApp campaigns engaged thousands of contacts, ensuring wide awareness among key audiences.

Expanding international reach

The summit’s international appeal was bolstered by a targeted public relations campaign managed by the APO Group. Press releases in French, Spanish, Arabic, and German reached diverse regions, including Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. This multilingual approach helped underline Morocco’s global aspirations in tourism.

The Moroccan government’s focus on tourism is producing tangible results. Recognized as one of the safest travel destinations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Morocco is attracting international tourists and investors alike.

Efforts to bolster domestic tourism are also gaining traction, with year-round strategies promoting family-friendly experiences, improved air connectivity, and the development of new attractions.

With a target to attract 17.5 million visitors by 2026 and 26 million by 2030, Morocco is investing heavily in infrastructure and marketing.

Tourism remains a cornerstone of its economy, offering employment opportunities and contributing significantly to regional development.

As global partnerships grow, Morocco’s tourism sector is poised for continued expansion, reaffirming its role as a key player in the international hospitality market.
