Hapi CEO Luis Segredo to chair 2025 AHLA Global Technology 100

USA – Luis Segredo, CEO and co-founder of Hapi, has been appointed as the chair of the 2025 American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) Global Technology 100 (T100).

This announcement highlights Segredo’s leadership within the hospitality technology sector, where he has long been a driving force for innovation and growth.

The T100, a newly consolidated group formed by merging the HTNG’s Executive Leadership Group, Vendor Advisory Council, and Industry Advisors, represents a collective of global leaders in hospitality technology.

As chair, Segredo will spearhead efforts to align these industry players in fostering collaboration and advancing technology to enhance guest experiences and optimize hotel operations.

“It is an honor and a privilege to chair the Global Technology 100 Group,” Segredo said. “AHLA strives to be an indispensable resource that serves, supports, and advocates for the hospitality industry. Bringing together these groups allows us to better address the transformative technology opportunities ahead.”

Segredo brings decades of experience to his role. As CEO of Data Travel, LLC, he has led the development of Hapi, a leading data and connectivity platform.

Hapi connects hotel brands to real-time data, enabling highly integrated guest experiences across over 7,700 hotels globally.

The platform’s ability to integrate seamlessly with Salesforce CRM and other systems has made it a vital tool for hotel companies seeking to personalize and improve guest journeys.

In addition to his work with Hapi, Segredo has been actively involved with HTNG (Hospitality Technology Next Generation) for more than a decade.

He previously served on the Vendor Advisory Council and held key roles representing companies like Newmarket and Amadeus.

Under Segredo’s leadership, the T100 is expected to shape the future of hospitality technology by providing guidance on leveraging cutting-edge solutions. This group aims to help hotel operators navigate a rapidly evolving landscape and maximize the benefits of new tools and platforms.

The T100 is composed of prominent figures such as Scott Strickland, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, who serves as vice-chair, and Kristie Goshow, Chief Commercial Officer at KSL Resorts.

Together, these leaders will focus on promoting collaboration across the industry to address challenges and identify opportunities for growth.

The AHLA’s decision to consolidate its advisory groups into the T100 demonstrates a commitment to streamlining efforts in addressing technological advancements. The move also highlights the importance of a unified approach to tackling the complex needs of modern hospitality operations.
