Hilton Debuts in the Congo with landmark opening of Brazzaville Les Tours Jumelles

THE CONGO – Hilton has officially opened its first property in the Republic of the Congo, the Hilton Brazzaville Les Tours Jumelles Hotel & Residences.

The new hotel, standing as the tallest building in the country, marks a significant milestone for Hilton’s expansion in Africa.

Located in the heart of Brazzaville, the hotel offers 221 rooms, including spacious suites and apartments. It provides breathtaking views of the Congo River and Kinshasa, along with convenient access to Maya-Maya International Airport.

Visitors can enjoy nearby attractions like the iconic St. Anne’s Basilica and the tranquil Parc de la Patte d’Oie.

One of the hotel’s standout features is La Brasserie Mbongui, a rooftop rotating restaurant offering 360-degree views of Brazzaville while serving African-inspired cuisine. Other dining options include The Kitchen, ideal for breakfast, and Regale Lounge, offering snacks and cocktails.

Guests can also enjoy a range of leisure amenities, including a pool, tennis courts, a gym, and a spa. Additionally, Art Sans Frontière, an in-house gallery, highlights the work of Congolese artists, enriching visitors’ experience with local culture.

“This is a proud moment for us as we bring Hilton’s renowned hospitality to Brazzaville,” said Andreas Lackner, Hilton’s vice president for Africa and the Indian Ocean. “This opening strengthens our presence in Central Africa while offering guests a unique mix of luxury and comfort.”

Catering to corporate travelers, the hotel boasts 2,400 square meters of event space, including eight meeting rooms and a conference center. It is well-equipped for hosting business gatherings, conferences, and social events.

The hotel was developed through a partnership with Société d’Exploitation et de Développement des Infrastructures du Congo (SEDIC). Speaking about the collaboration, SEDIC’s managing director, Mrs. Benedicte Myriam Denguet-Atticky, emphasized the tailored approach to local needs.

“This project brings together office spaces and premium accommodations, filling a critical gap in Brazzaville’s hospitality and commercial infrastructure.”

The opening also follows a broader agreement between Hilton and SEDIC, with support from the government, including Congo’s state minister Jean-Jacques Bouya.

Broader expansion in Africa

This development comes as Hilton accelerates its growth across Africa. In Morocco, the company has announced plans to double its portfolio with nine new hotels across seven brands, introducing names like Waldorf Astoria, LXR Hotels & Resorts, and Curio Collection.

Notable projects include the Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé, set to open in 2025 as part of the Mohammed VI Tower, Morocco’s tallest building. This property will feature luxurious accommodations and dining experiences, including the iconic Peacock Alley.

LXR Hotels & Resorts will debut in Casablanca with a boutique property located in the high-end Metropolitan development, blending modern luxury with elements celebrating the city’s heritage. Meanwhile, the Curio Collection will add two properties in Casablanca and Rabat, each designed to incorporate cultural touches like botanical garden-inspired features in Rabat.

Additionally, Hilton is bringing its value-focused Hampton by Hilton brand to Morocco, with locations in Benguérir and Fes set to open between 2025 and 2027. These additions aim to cater to both leisure and business travelers.

Carlos Khneisser, Hilton’s vice president for the Middle East and Africa, highlighted the region’s strong tourism growth.

“Morocco welcomed 13.1 million tourists in the first nine months of this year, two million more than the same period last year. This momentum supports our vision of delivering exceptional hospitality while contributing to the local economy.”
