Value Foodservice expands portfolio after acquiring 11 KFC outlets

USA – Prominent QSR franchisee and operator Value Foodservice (VFS) has announced the expansion of its franchise portfolio with the acquisition of 11 KFC outlets across the US.

Value Foodservice has expanded its operations to 59 KFC locations with the acquisition of additional outlets in the greater Nashville area, covering Kentucky and Tennessee.

This move reinforces the company’s presence in the U.S. quick-service restaurant (QSR) sector. Spearheaded by CEO Jon Blob, a seasoned professional in the industry, the acquisition is the third KFC transaction completed by the company in 2024.

Financial backing from BlackBern Partners facilitated the deal, underlining support for Value Foodservice’s growth strategy.

Jon Blob emphasized the strategic importance of the expansion, citing strong economic growth in the Nashville region.

He remarked, “This investment in growth demonstrates our confidence in the KFC brand and our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for our team members and customers.”

The newly acquired locations will be integrated into Value Foodservice’s existing operations, creating a foundation for future growth and operational enhancements.

Blob also highlighted the company’s dedication to team development, infrastructure improvements, and preserving the legacy of the previous ownership.

He stated, “We look forward to welcoming new team members and customers into the Value Foodservice family and continuing the multi-generational legacy of these locations.”

Jason Young, a partner at BlackBern Partners, praised the Value Foodservice team for their effective navigation of the dynamic QSR landscape.

He expressed enthusiasm for entering a new market and supporting the company’s continued growth.

In addition to its corporate milestones, KFC introduced the “Buckets of Joy” holiday bucket in December 2024.

Designed by the acclaimed illustrator duo Yeye Weller, the festive bucket features vibrant, cheerful artwork and is accompanied by streetwear-inspired holiday merchandise.

The campaign also includes new meal deals aimed at enhancing holiday celebrations and simplifying weeknight dinners during the busy season.

The Festive Feast Deal, available for US$25.99, includes six pieces of fried chicken, six Original Recipe Tenders, three sauces, and two large sides. Customers can also add KFC’s new Cherry Pie Poppers to their order, further elevating the holiday dining experience.
