Marriott’s Moxy Hotels set to debut in Dubai in 2025

UAE – Moxy Hotels, a vibrant brand under Marriott International, is preparing to launch its first property in the UAE with the opening of Moxy Al Barsha Dubai in the summer of 2025.

The much-anticipated hotel will bring a fresh, youthful concept to Dubai’s dynamic hospitality scene.

Situated in the lively Al Barsha neighborhood, the hotel will undergo renovations to align with Moxy’s signature industrial-inspired design and focus on creating engaging social spaces.

With 480 smart and stylish rooms, Moxy Al Barsha Dubai aims to attract modern travelers who value a mix of functionality and personality in their accommodations.

Chadi Hauch, Regional Vice President of Lodging Development for Marriott International in the Middle East, highlighted Dubai’s importance as a growth market.

“The UAE continues to be a key destination for us. Moxy Al Barsha Dubai reflects our commitment to meeting the demand for unique and affordable hospitality experiences in the region,” Hauch remarked.

The hotel is designed to offer a lively atmosphere, featuring buzzing communal areas and social spaces that encourage interaction among guests. Its playful approach to hospitality includes bold, locally inspired programming to create a memorable stay for visitors.

Jassim Al Ali, Managing Director of Al Ali Property Investments, shared his enthusiasm about working with Marriott International on the project.

“We are thrilled to bring Moxy to Al Barsha, an area known for its diversity and energy. This collaboration marks another milestone in our long-standing partnership with Marriott,” he noted.

Expansion in the Middle East

The Moxy Al Barsha Dubai represents the third joint venture between Marriott International and Al Ali Property Investments, following the development of Marriott Executive Apartments and Marriott Hotel Residences on Sheikh Zayed Road.

This project also signals an increasing trend toward property conversions across the Middle East, where demand for unique and innovative accommodations is growing.

This announcement comes as the Middle East’s hospitality sector experiences significant growth, with new developments reshaping the region’s offerings.

Recent openings include the voco Abdali Amman in Jordan, The Chedi Hegra in Saudi Arabia’s AlUla, and IHG’s voco Jeddah Gate. These projects underscore the region’s focus on creating distinctive travel experiences.

As Dubai’s hospitality market continues to thrive, the introduction of Moxy Hotels reflects Marriott International’s strategy to diversify its offerings in the region.

The brand’s combination of affordability, style, and social connectivity positions it well to appeal to a wide audience, including millennials and Gen Z travelers.

Moxy Al Barsha Dubai is set to redefine mid-range hospitality in the UAE, blending creativity with comfort in a way that sets it apart.

With its opening slated for summer 2025, Marriott International’s foray into this space is eagerly anticipated by travelers and industry watchers alike.
