Careem Groceries expands ultra-fast delivery service to Abu Dhabi

UAE – Grocery delivery platform Careem Groceries has announced the expansion of its ultra-fast grocery delivery service to Abu Dhabi, adding to the food delivery, ride-hailing and payment services in the city.

Careem Groceries’ ultra-fast delivery service offers residents fresh, high-quality essentials with an average delivery time of just 20 minutes.

The service provides a broad selection of products, including premium fruits and vegetables, meats, baked goods, electronics, school supplies, and household items, all available at highly competitive prices.

The strategic move is meant to enhance the platform’s foray into the promising UAE market.

Chase Lario, VP of Groceries at Careem, expressed excitement about the expansion, “We’re thrilled to bring Careem Groceries to Abu Dhabi. To mark the launch, Careem is offering Abu Dhabi customers a 50% discount on their first five grocery orders using the promo code GRAB50.

In addition, Careem Plus members enjoy exclusive perks, including up to AED 100 (US$27.23) in monthly grocery savings and unlimited free delivery.

Careem Plus also includes benefits like free delivery on food orders, credit for 10 rides per month, and discounts on Careem Bike services. For just AED 19 a month, members save an average of AED 300 (US$81.68).

Careem Groceries has seen significant success since its launch, delivering over 3.4 million orders in 2024 alone, with tens of thousands of orders already completed in Abu Dhabi.

Customers can easily access grocery shopping by opening the Careem app and selecting the Careem Groceries option from the home screen.
