Taco Bell introduces chicken nuggets to its menu for limited time

NORTH AMERICA – Fast food restaurant chain Taco Bell has introduced the Crispy Chicken Nuggets, its latest addition to its menu, for a limited period.

Taco Bell introduced Crispy Chicken Nuggets on December 19, expanding its menu with a crispy, flavorful option made from all-white meat chicken.

 The nuggets are marinated in jalapeño buttermilk and coated with breadcrumbs and tortilla chips, offering a bold texture and taste.

They are accompanied by new dipping sauces, including the Hidden Valley Fire Ranch Sauce, which blends the creaminess of Hidden Valley Ranch with Taco Bell’s Fire Sauce. Additional options include the spicy-sweet Jalapeño Honey Mustard and Bell Sauce, known for its subtle chilli kick.

The nuggets are priced at US$3.99 for a five-piece serving with one dipping sauce, while a ten-piece option with two sauces costs US$6.99.

Combos, including fries and a drink, are available from US$5.99 to US$8.99, with a deluxe meal option—featuring nuggets, a taco, a chalupa, fries, and a drink—priced at US$10.49.

Taco Bell Chief Marketing Officer Taylor Montgomery described the nuggets as offering a “crispier, more flavorful nugget experience” enhanced by the Fire Ranch Sauce.

Taco Bell Rewards Members can take advantage of an exclusive offer on January 21, 2025, when the first 20,000 members to purchase the nuggets after 2 pm will receive a five-piece serving for US$1.

Promotions also include a free drink with the purchase of five-piece nuggets a la carte through delivery platforms like DoorDash, Uber Eats, Postmates, or GrubHub from December 19 to 31.

Until January 22, customers ordering nuggets via the Taco Bell app can add a regular portion of Nacho Fries for US$1 once daily.

The launch coincided with Taco Bell’s revival of the Decades Menu, which featured nostalgic items from its history since its 1962 inception.

Available from October 31, 2024, the menu included classics such as the ’60s Tostada and ’70s Green Sauce Burrito, alongside the ’00s Caramel Apple Empanada, all priced under US$3.

Complementing this offering were limited-edition merchandise and special app promotions, including US$1 Caramel Apple Empanadas when purchasing all four Decades Menu items.

Uber Eats users also enjoyed exclusive offers, like a free Decades Menu item with orders over US$20 on select dates.
