PAR Technology acquires Delaget in US$132M deal

GLOBAL – Leading global food service technology company PAR Technology has announced it has acquired restaurant analytics and business solutions provider Delaget in a deal worth an estimated US$132 million.

The deal was finalized on December 31, 2024, with PAR acquiring all outstanding equity interests of Delaget for US$132 million, subject to adjustments. The transaction was primarily paid in shares of PAR’s common stock.

Founded in 2001, Delaget serves 30,000 locations and partners with over 125 brands, including 40 of the top 50 North American restaurant concepts.

The platform provides data analytics, loss prevention, and operational insights to help restaurant operators improve efficiency and profitability.

Savneet Singh, CEO and President of PAR Technology, stated that the acquisition of Delaget marked a key milestone in PAR’s goal to create the most comprehensive food service platform in the industry.

He emphasized that Delaget’s analytics capabilities would complement PAR’s Operator Cloud solution, offering immediate value to customers by enhancing back-office operations, delivery functions, and data-driven insights.

The combination of both companies was expected to enable restaurant operators to make better decisions, cut costs, and drive operational excellence in real-time.

Singh also noted that access to Delaget’s product suite would accelerate the development of the PAR Data Platform, a key initiative designed to unify data across a restaurant’s technology stack and provide unparalleled insights into guest and operational performance.

The acquisition was expected to significantly expand PAR’s food service capabilities through the integration of Delaget’s solutions. Delaget’s client base includes major brands such as Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, IHOP, and Burger King.

Jason Tober, CEO of Delaget, expressed that the shared vision for transforming restaurant operations with data insights, combined with PAR Technology’s scale and leadership, would enable the delivery of even greater outcomes for customers.

As part of PAR Technology, Delaget aimed to extend its platform and solutions to more businesses worldwide and provide an open integration platform for top restaurant operators and brands.

In early December, Condado Tacos selected PAR Technology’s Data Central to improve its operational efficiency.

The company aimed to optimize logistics, labor, and menu performance while gaining valuable data insights to support future growth.

PAR Data Central offers modules for food and inventory management, labor scheduling, enterprise reporting, and commissary operations, with the goal of reducing food cost variance and enhancing ordering through real-time inventory data.
