QDOBA expands franchise networks in the US after inking multiple franchise deals for 2025

USA – Fast casual restaurant chain QDOBA has announced it has successfully entered into multiple franchise development agreements meant to expand the Mexican chain’s presence in the US.

APR Island Management/Cafua Management, led by David, Mark, and Greg Cafua alongside Ricardo Gonzalez, the largest Dunkin’ franchisee in the US, has committed to opening 20 new QDOBA restaurants in New Hampshire and Rhode Island.

This expansion follows QDOBA’s strong performance at the end of 2024, with 16 consecutive quarters of positive same-store sales.

Additionally, the brand announced 22 new franchise agreements, increasing its pipeline to over 450 future restaurants. A notable deal includes a partnership with Q Eats for 15 restaurants in Greater Houston.

Mark Cafua, a franchise owner with Cafua Management, shared that after over 40 years in the quick-service industry, the decision to invest in the fast-casual sector was driven by QDOBA’s fresh, customizable meals and strong customer loyalty.

He highlighted the brand’s solid track record, exceptional franchisee support, and scalability as key factors in their decision, adding that the enthusiasm of both customers and employees was the deciding factor.

Several new franchisees are also expanding the brand’s footprint. Jay and Ahmad Jabbar will open five locations in New Orleans, while Spork Restaurant Holdings plans 12 in Kansas City and nearby Missouri counties.

Holy Moley Guacamole has committed to 15 outlets in Illinois, and Boost Enterprises is preparing to launch eight restaurants in Savannah, Georgia.

Existing franchisees are also increasing their investments, with OM Group expanding its agreement by adding six units in Cleveland and Toledo.

Other new commitments include three locations each from QDOBA Cincinnati in Ohio, Goraya in Baltimore, Maryland, Patel in Fort Morgan, Colorado, and Golden Maize Restaurants in Connecticut.

Internationally, ELPX Restaurant Group is set to expand QDOBA’s presence on US military installations starting in 2025.

The brand is actively seeking qualified multi-unit franchise operators for development in target markets, including airports, universities, military bases, and casinos.

In December 2024, QDOBA announced the upcoming opening of two new locations in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona.

These new stores, set to open in January, will create around 80 new jobs and feature spacious 2,000ft² interiors, with additional seating and amenities in each location.
