Tim Hortons launches new outlets in Ahmedabad and Bengaluru, India

INDIA – Coffeehouse chain Tim Hortons has announced it has opened two new outlets in the Indian cities of Ahmedabad and Bengaluru, the company’s 36th and 37th outlets in the country.

Tim Hortons’ two new stores are located in Ahmedabad’s Navrangpura neighborhood and the other is in Bangalore’s HSR Layout.

The Ahmedabad store blends aesthetics with comfort, while the Bangalore outlet offers a cosy ambience for both professionals and individuals seeking relaxation.

Both locations feature a range of offerings, including Frozen French Vanilla, Iced Capps, pastries, and savory items.

Tarun Jain, CEO of Tim Hortons India, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion into these two vibrant cities, emphasizing that the new stores align with the brand’s commitment to providing a welcoming environment where guests can enjoy quality coffee, delightful food, and memorable moments.

Jain also affirmed the company’s ongoing dedication to offering a top-tier experience for customers across India.

Since its entry into the Indian market in August 2022, Tim Hortons has continued to expand its presence.

The company entered India through an exclusive partnership with a joint venture (JV) entity owned by Apparel Group and Gateway Partners.

Known for its Canadian specialities like Double-Double coffees, Timbits, and doughnuts, Tim Hortons is planning to open its first restaurant in New Delhi.

In just over a year and a half, the brand has established outlets in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Punjab, with additional stores in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.

In an interview with BW BusinessWorld in September 2024, Jain discussed India’s significant market potential for multinational companies, citing its demographic growth, economic expansion, and cultural diversity.

He noted the company’s efforts to tailor its products to local preferences, such as the introduction of a chicken tikka croissant, combining a popular pastry with a familiar Indian dish.

Tim Hortons’ operations in India are managed by AG Cafe India, a joint venture co-owned by senior executives of Indian origin based in Dubai and Singapore.

The coffee chain has ambitious plans for further expansion, aiming to open over 300 outlets across India within the next ten years.
