SAUDI ARABIA – Marriott International, Inc. has signed an agreement with Al Qimmah Hospitality and Amwaj Real Estate, subsidiaries of BinDawood Trading, to open a 2,179-room Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
Set to open in 2026, the Courtyard by Marriott Makkah Al Naseem will be the brand’s largest property globally, offering outstanding hospitality, modern amenities, and unmatched convenience for both visitors and pilgrims.
Dr. Abdul Razzaq BinDawood, Chairman of Al Qimmah, commented that the signing of the agreement reflected the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aimed to position Saudi Arabia as a global hub for religious and cultural tourism while continuing to promote cultured real estate development.
He mentioned that the company was developing high-quality towers within the Al Naseem District as part of its commitment to enhancing the experience of guests visiting the Holy Mosque.
He further noted that this project represented one of their largest developments and a continued partnership with Marriott International.
Chadi Hauch, Regional Vice President of Lodging Development for the Middle East at Marriott International, expressed his excitement about strengthening the partnership with Al Qimmah Hospitality and BinDawood Trading for this landmark project.
He stated that the opening of the world’s largest Courtyard by Marriott in Saudi Arabia underscored Marriott’s commitment to supporting the growth of the Kingdom’s tourism sector.
He added that the agreement reflected the growing demand for Marriott’s brands in Makkah.
The Courtyard by Marriott brand is Marriott’s largest in terms of global footprint, with a focus on offering sophisticated design and amenities that elevate the guest experience.
The hotel will feature 2,179 well-appointed guestrooms spread across seven interconnecting towers.
The hotel will include a spacious restaurant with over 1,800 guest capacity, a lobby lounge, and The Market—its signature Grab n’ Go market.
The design will showcase the brand’s timeless style, creating inviting spaces and exceeding service expectations.
The signing of this property aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to attract 30 million religious tourists by 2030, further establishing the Kingdom as a global center for tourism.
