Taraf breaks ground on W Residences Abu Dhabi – Al Maryah Island

UAE – Taraf, the real estate division of UAE-based investment company Yas Holding, has announced the groundbreaking of W Residences Abu Dhabi – Al Maryah Island, marking the brand’s debut in the country.

The announcement represents a significant milestone in the longstanding collaboration between Taraf and Marriott International.

This development is set to become an iconic addition to Abu Dhabi’s real estate market, combining bold design with luxury hospitality, according to a statement from Yas Holding.

Construction has officially commenced with NSCC International onboard as the project contractor, having started work in December 2024.

Located strategically on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi’s premium address and emerging global real estate hub, W Residences Abu Dhabi is set to redefine luxury living in the region, offering residents world-class amenities, cutting-edge interiors, and the brand’s signature Whatever/Whenever concierge service for an exceptional lifestyle experience.

Low Ping, Group CEO, emphasized the significance of this project, stating that breaking ground on W Residences Abu Dhabi is a major step forward in redefining luxury living in the UAE.

She highlighted the project’s addition to their impressive portfolio of high-profile developments and its contribution to setting new standards in the region’s real estate market.

By partnering with Marriott International, she expressed confidence that the project would bring substantial value to Abu Dhabi’s evolving landscape.

Jaidev Menezes, Regional VP (Mixed-Use Development EMEA) at Marriott International, shared that the launch of W Residences Abu Dhabi underscores their commitment to introducing premier luxury living to global destinations.

Through their partnership with Taraf, the aim is to bring W Hotels’ distinctive, bold design and vibrant energy to the city.

Menezes emphasized that the project will not only enhance Al Maryah Island’s iconic status but also offer residents an unmatched combination of luxury, innovation, and personalized services.

Since its inception in January 2023, Taraf has focused on the luxury real estate sector, with several projects located in prime areas across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
